Blog Journal 8
I enjoyed making a website. I have never had to make one before, so it was an interesting learning experience. I learned how to format each page, and how to make the website uniquely my own. One thing that I learned that will help me in my future career is that I should be careful about the resources I trust. This is mostly because anyone can post information on the internet. None of my information had to be verified, so I did not have to even put the truth in my posts. Here is a link to my website.
Diigo has been a great tool for me to learn how to use. I have also never used Diigo before, so everything I have learned has been new. I have learned how to annotate pages, such as highlighting things, creating sticky notes, and posting websites with brief descriptions for my peers to review. This is helpful as a student because my peers and I are able to share information with each other. I will be able to use this tool in the future by probably using it to research tools and share tools with fellow teachers.
I have found that one of the most popular ways to stay informed about technology trends in education is to keep up with other teachers' blogs. Other blogs from educators usually have what current technological trends they are using in the classroom. An example of one of these blogs is: The Innovative Educator. The downside to using blogs made by other teachers for this is that most of it needs to be fact-checked since blogs are able to have whatever information the author wants on them. Other than that, I like to look at teacher blogs for technology trends because most of the teachers share their experience with the trend. They give tips and tricks for using the trends, and what to expect from students.
Hey Naomi. I liked this design because it was simple which made it effective. The spacing was well done between images and text. I think the grey is a bit of a harsh contrast on white for the eyes of a reader. It looked very nice.
ReplyDeleteHello Naomi, your website design was very good! Both the colors and contrast of the website allowed the reader to focus on the important text within your site. I also liked the way you shaped and aligned the website it follows CRAAP and is great!
